Arlequin is a comic personage, wearing a pants and a jacket made of different pieces very colored, a leather mask, a bonnet, and a bat at the belt.
His origin come from the antic period: <<Sannio>>, clown of latin joke, was daubed of soot and dressed with multicolored clothes. Later he became Zanni, then Arlecchino. First insolent and awkward during the sixteenth century, (cynic and coward comical) he will humanized himself gradually in the course of time (and he will become very spiritual) in Italy as well as in France.
